Shoals Astronomy Club is a community of amateur astronomers from northwest Alabama and southern Tennessee. From idyllic moments under a canopy of meteor streaks to discussing the necessary equipment of deep-sky astrophotography, our members are a diverse and curious group. We gather for observations, or set up telescopes in public places to advocate for the hobby.
We share knowledge and resources, discuss current events in space science, and work to improve everyone’s connection to the cosmos.
Owning a telescope or binoculars isn’t required, but curiosity is definitely welcome.
